Mr. Stephan Thuering is a seasoned Re/Insurance professional and senior leader with expertise in Operations, Business Services, and Shared Services. Over his 30+ year tenure at Swiss Re, he has held pivotal roles, including heading Technical Accounting for EMEA and serving as CEO of Swiss Re Business Services Slovakia. He later took on the role of Audit Director within Swiss Re’s Group Internal Audit function before transitioning into Agile methodologies as a Scrum Master and Agile Coach. Currently, as co-founder of VPP Solutions, he is dedicated to delivering personalized, competent, and virtual services to clients in Switzerland.

With a deep passion for people and a wealth of experience in building and managing large-scale operations, Mr. Thuering continues to mentor and empower professionals worldwide, fostering leadership and innovation across the industry.

Chandrasekaran Ramamurthy

A distinguished veteran in the reinsurance industry, Mr. Chandrasekaran Ramamurthy boasts a career spanning almost five decades. He has held pivotal roles such as CEO of Himalayan Re, Nepal, and served as a Government of India nominated Director on the Board of LIC of India. His leadership extended to regulatory and industry bodies, shaping insurance legislations and IRDAI regulations, during his tenure as Secretary General of the GI Council of India for 8 years and membership in IRDAI Regulation Sub-Committees and expert groups. His expertise in global reinsurance is further demonstrated by his time as General Manager at GIC Re, followed by Senior DGM position at Kuwait Re

With deep-rooted knowledge in Insurance and Reinsurance strategy management and Enterprise Risk Management, he has played a critical role in shaping policies and best practices across markets. Beyond his formal roles, Mr. Ramamurthy has mentored many professionals like us, offering strategic insights into risk assessment, reinsurance structuring, and regulatory frameworks. His enduring influence continues to inspire the next generation of industry leaders.

Sudhindra Kodagali

Mr. Sudhindra Kodagali is a BE in Electrical Engineering, is also an Associate of Institute of Telecommunications Engineers specialising in Industrial Electronics and an Associate of Insurance Institute of India

With a rich experience spanning over 45 years in the industry, Mr. Kodagali is a Property and Engineering Reinsurance Expert. Having started his insurance career with United India, he later moved to the Middle East market where he spent more than 27 years. Beyond traditional underwriting, Mr. Kodagali has undertaken specialized roles, including conducting Realistic Disaster Scenarios to assess companies’ reinsurance protections, restructuring Retrocession Programmes to optimize risk management, and providing expert opinions on major claims. He has also conducted seminars for major Insurance companies in Iran, Yemen, Bahrain and India.

Now, in his well-earned retirement, Mr. Kodagali remains deeply committed to the industry. With boundless enthusiasm, he continues to share his wealth of knowledge and experience, fostering the next generation of reinsurance professionals and contributing to the ever-evolving landscape of risk management.

Suresh Balasubramanian

Mr. Suresh Balasubramanian brings over 34 years of extensive expertise in the Insurance and Reinsurance industry, spanning India, Africa, and the Middle East. Beginning his journey with GIC Re, he went on to hold pivotal roles at ARIG (Tunisia) and Swiss Re (Bangalore), contributing significantly to their strategic operations. Transitioning into management consulting, he has collaborated with leading Re/Insurance brokers, insurance companies, and global reinsurance giants. His profound contributions encompass Process Management, Quality Assurance, Risk Management, Knowledge Management, and Data Analytics, positioning him as a key thought leader in the Re/Insurance domain..

Mr. Suresh Balasubramanian is a commerce graduate, who holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management from IGNOU and has further specialized in Risk Management in Financial Services through the Institute of Risk Management, UK. He is a Fellow Member (FIII) of the Insurance Institute of India and a Chartered Insurance Risk Manager. Additionally, he is an Associate Member (ACII) of the Chartered Insurance Institute, UK, reflecting his deep expertise and commitment to professional excellence in the Re/Insurance sector.

Naveen Kumar

Mr. Naveen Kumar is a strategic, tech-savvy professional with nearly two decades of experience in IT services, specialising in AI, sustainability, and leadership for banking and financial services clients. Beginning his career at DXC Technology (formerly CSC), he relocated to the US in 2012 and currently serves as a Group Manager at a multinational IT services company.

A computer science engineer by background, Mr. Naveen Kumar has earned his Executive MBA at NYU Stern, further deepening his expertise in business strategy and innovation. Passionate about driving transformative change, he is committed to helping organisations tackle critical challenges, from climate change to digital transformation, through technology-driven solutions.
